SAVE OUR SOULS IN BENUE, THE MIDDLE BELT & ALL AREAS IN NIGERIA UNDER SIEGE FROM TERRORIST HERDSMEN!
We woke up this morning to news that terrorist herdsmen and/or their mercenaries attacked a Catholic Church/Parishioners who went for 5.30am mass in a village @ Ayar Mbalom in Gwer East Local Government in Benue State killing 2 Priests, Father Joseph Gor and Father Felix Tyolaha and, at last count, 13 parishioners. We have personally spoken to the head of the Justice, Development & Peace Commission, Makurdi who is at Gwer mortuary this morning receiving the bodies of those murdered.
We condemn in the strongest terms possible this terror attack on worshippers and other attacks on defenceless Nigerian citizens and call on all to please remember Benue and the Middle Belt in prayers. We also ask those who have friends and family in high places to plead with President Muhammadu Buhari, his security team, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria and whoever else may be connected to those funding these killers and big beef interests such as cattle owners who have herdsmen looking after cattle for them in the Benue Valley to use all at their disposal to end this senseless slaughter of unarmed defenceless people in the Benue Valley, in the middle belt, in Zamfara and EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THIS COUNTRY!
These militant herdsmen and their mercenaries, a group dubbed the 3rd most lethal terrorist group in the world, are slowly wiping out Nigerians to presumably further their cattle business interests.
WE REJECT IN TOTALITY THE UNGODLY IDEA THAT CATTLE MATTER MORE THAN HUMAN LIVES and call on all who have an iota of humane feeling in them to end this madness before it consumes us all and leaves us without a country.
Since 2013, over 60 terror attacks have taken place in Benue alone leaving thousands dead and tens of thousands displaced.
We call on all humane persons and groups around the world to come to the aid of our farming and worship communities and end these terror attacks across Nigeria and especially in Benue, our food basket which also threatens our collective food security.
